Welcome to Israel Brief Encounters - International Film Festival (IBEIFF)
We're thrilled to present our International short film festival, showcasing the best and most innovative independent films from around the world. Our festival is a celebration of the art of cinema, and we're proud to provide a platform for emerging filmmakers to share their work with a global audience.
Every season we will have an online edition running where all official selections will be competing in their own category.
In addition, Official selections from the following categories will also AUTOMATICALLY compete for the title of "BEST short of the Season"!

Student Short
At the end of the year we will have a yearly event in ISRAEL.
Winners of all seasons, from the categories mentioned above will also be competing for a " BEST of the year " award!

Submissions Rules & guidelines
General Rules:
Israel Brief Encounters Film Festival is open to independent filmmakers worldwide.
Films must have been completed after January 1, 2015.
Films must be in English or have English subtitles.
All genres are welcome.
Films Run time must not exceed 40 minutes in length.
By submitting your film, you grant us the right to use excerpts from your film for promotional purposes.
The festival reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the eligibility requirements or that contains offensive or inappropriate content.
Submission Guidelines:
Films must be submitted via FILMFREEWAY platform only.
Please ensure that your film is uploaded in the highest quality possible.
Films must be accompanied by a synopsis.
If your film is selected for the festival, we will require a digital press kit, including a trailer, poster, and still images.
Selected filmmakers will be notified via email and via filmfreeway platform.
Filmmakers are responsible for all shipping and handling fees associated with the delivery of their films to the festival , should they are accepted for the yearly event.
The festival is not responsible for lost or damaged films.
All submitted films must be the original work of the filmmaker, and the filmmaker must have secured all necessary permissions for the use of any copyrighted materials.
By submitting your film, you confirm that you have read and agree to the festival's rules and regulations.
